Tara- Is there a regular teacher in that 1/2 class? Why don't you just spend the 30 minutes doing guided reading to address specific needs with small groups? Just a thought. Kristin

I'm glad this list is up and running. I am a mostly SAHM, but I teach piano/flute/tutor reading one day a week, and I also work as a Reading Specialist teaching 2 reading classes, 30 min each (one 1st/2nd grade, the other 3-7th grade), and one Writer's Workshop with 4 students for an hour once a week. I'm trying to use a Reader's Workshop model, but it's awfully difficult in a half hour! I have an aide who teaches the next day without me. I'm looking forward to everyone's ideas.
