Angela,
I would keep the intent of the lesson intact, using the same language, but
I'd use a different picture book. There are so many outstanding books
available. I wouldn't want to repeat the exact same lesson with the same text
a year later. I think that you'd be able to use many articles from the Source
of Short Text because many may be too difficult for third graders. Just my
thoughts...
