Rosie  Don't know if this helps but my daughter is a literacy coach in a
district that is all Reading First and using Houghton Mifflin.  She was
actually able to order the suggested novels in the Houghton Mifflin for the
teachers.  She just argued that it was a given part of the HM program.

She believes all kids should get to read real books at least some of the
time.  (actually she would do it all the time if she had her druthers but is
trying to use her position to carve out as much space for teachers as she
can.
