Look at Eve Bunting and Patricia Palocco.  I think that, in truth, you can
use many of the same books used with younger kids if you approach the
discussion differently.  I was thinking of The Cats of Krazinsky Square,
which I used with my first and second grade students.  I have used that same
book with fifth graders in demo lessons and obviously they are ready for
more information related to the holocaust.  I would not hesitate to read the
book with middle or high school kids as a precursor to the same discussion.
Sort of like sex education with my own kids--we have always operated on a
need to know basis, beginning with honest but limited responses to their
questions leading up to the BIG TALK when they were a bit older. Same
subject, different treatment.
