Eight -ten year-olds also love The Sisters Grimm series by Michael Buckley-also
lots of fairy tale characters. The sisters are reluctant detectives who inherit
problems because of their family ties to Jakob & Wilhelm. Book four was
published in May.

And, the "further tale adventures" by P.W. Catanese. (One read aloud worked
wonders for 3 boys who jumped into the series.)
