Donna, welcome to the teaching profession and I wish you the very best of luck---but having said that--luck is really good planning. YOU MUST MAKE THE TIME TO CONFERENCE WITH STUDENTS---you have to plan it. Conferencing is not something you can do on the go without prior planning. You need to determine the why and hows of your conferences and then schedule it into your plans.
