I am sitting down with a few teachers in my department soon to put together three sets of standards: reading, writing, and history. I have empty page syndrome. I hardly know where to start. Do any of you teach both ELA and History with a combined set of standards. What does that look like? How do you do it? Do you give them equal time or do you emphasize one or the other?
