Hi Sharon, I don't read the comments on this thread as whining. I'm sorry that you do. Instead, what I hear is teachers trying to work through the kind of issues that prevent many of us from teaching comprehension effectively. However, if that still bohers you why don't you start a new thread? Especially about how you work comprehension instruction in the middle school. I know many of us who teach at the earlier grades would like to hear what happens to kids as they move up the grade levels. Thanks for sharing.
