I have used the Test Talk book this year with my 3rd grade class and love
it. I am new to state wide testing as I taught 2nd for years and did not
need to deal directly. This book has helped me prepare my students and feel
confident about taking tests. As an example we are working on "main idea".
We looked at release state tests and identified all the different ways they
ask for the main idea and created an anchor chart. Now when they see a
question that uses one of the stems we found they point it out and majority
know what to do.
