I just want to gently remind folks that the purpose of our list is to
discuss reading comprehension teaching...and those topics that impact upon it.
I
worry when we stray to far from our original purpose that we may lose members
who come to us to learn about comprehension. It has happened before. I also
promised Ginger, when I took over moderation of this list, that I would work
hard to keep it true to its intended purpose.

I totally understand that most of us teach more than reading and that the
level of expertise here is so high that our list makes a great place to seek
out information regarding topics other than reading. I have done this myself
at
times. I am going to request that when an email is labeled "off topic" and
requests info on that topic to be emailed off list, that we follow up and send
emails off list instead of hitting the reply button. Does that make sense?

Thanks for understanding...
