Michelle, I'm glad you mentioned this. At the Capital Area Writing
Project we've been exploring this issue, as well. We've looked at and
used Wiki's, blogs, and del.icio.us. (I love del.icio.us, my "handle" is
joy2educate if you'd like to become part of my network) Tomorrow we are
going to learn about Voicethread.

I've been thinking about this group and how we can employ this powerful
tool. I agree with you about the potential, but think we need to talk
about the advantages and disadvantages of each. In order to get some of
the best features, there'd be a fee. Spread over 1500 members it
wouldn't be bad, but if we could get a grant to cover the cost, that
would be even better. I have very little knowledge about grants, but
maybe someone in this group has some experience.

What do others think?

I've been exploring a couple of "web 2.0" sites this summer and have
fallen
head over heels with their possibilities. I really see potential for
expanding this group into one of the several social networking sites.

. . . Seriously, BIG collaboration potential people! :-) (Not to
mention a
reduction in LONG ugly emails with all of the techno-garble attached!)
