Hi Babs,

I agree that the Fountas and Pinnell book is wonderful.  (Guided Readers and 
Writers). It also has a list of titles for students.  However, don't panic too 
much about the student texts yet.  Until you know your students, determine 
their level of competence, learn about their strengths, weaknesses, needs and 
find out about their personal interests it is very difficult to match texts to 
them.  Focus more on getting routines set up and the rest will come.
