Ooooh--I had one of those skinny little rustic trees and I scanned the covers of all my Christmas books (LOTS) to make a tiny ornament for each book. My helper each day got to choose an ornament to match the book he or she selected for read aloud. I would read the book while my elf hung that particular ornament on the tree.
