I love reading The Velveteen Rabbit with the students. It is a great book for discussion and again for writing. They can bring in their favorite stuffed animal to share. From there you may incorporate various writing activities such as a descriptive paragraph, poetry etc.

We're finishing up a unit soon and it'd be nice to have something light and timely for the few days before break begins. _______________________________________________ Mosaic mailing list [email protected] To unsubscribe or modify your membership please go to http://literacyworkshop.org/mailman/options/mosaic_literacyworkshop.org.
