The Learning Record gave valid reliable scores using multiple measures
including usually running records or miscue analysis. We had proof that
teachers' judgments were both valid and reliable given experience with
multiple measures and exemplars from the LR. Just a thought! Maybe someday
we will get back to actually believing in knowledgeable teachers being the
most valid and reliable assessors!!!
