Lane is right, but we had good results from models trained on mostly general 
data with a small proportion of domain specific data. The technical 
translations didn't really suffer but the model was more versatile. Why not 
give it a go?

If you can identify document type before translation, a simple way to
handle the problem would be to train different models for each genre,
then use the appropriate model for each document.
