Hi All

Here is the old guy still alive

First I must say that I am so happy to see how well the community
support Mr Dave after he took over the project and I am so happy that
the project has been brought back to life. Much more and much better
than I had ever hoped.

A big thank you to Mr Dave and the community members

A little practical thing about the old Motion site. The past half year I
disabled registration of new users but maintained the site open for
editing in case someone felt like answering open questions.

Now the state is that all editing done the past half a year is 100%
spam. So I have now turned it to a read only site and deleted all the
user profiles. Except you Mr Dave in case you have a special need to
extract some data that requires edit access.

I will keep the site alive for years to come as a reference. I still use
the Wiki for my own use and for a house owner association website where
I am the only editor so it is no problem keeping it online. But no more
editing. I have to do that because it had become a spam magnet. Weight
loss spam is the new trend. Horrible.

Good luck with the project and thanks again

Kenneth

It just makes me so incredibly sad. I've been around for this project since
2000, I think (it's been a looong time, I'm sure of that!), and when I saw you
leave just made me sad. I know you wanted to move on to other things, but I'm
just one of those Sad Sacks who gets melancholy when a thing changes so
  drastically.

So, Thank *YOU*, Kenneth, for all you did - starting this project way back,
and all the years with it. I sure do hope you stick around just to say Hi once
in a while. I am trying to see those pictures you put up several years ago of
your home setup of cameras and stuff. It was inspiring for me but I never got
to get around to doing anything. I'd like to know about that Logitech camera
  you had going, mostly, again.

Anyway, stay safe, stay warm or dry or cool...whatever you need...to stay
  happy.

        Irgun II

Huh, funny how Homeland Security rhymes with Gestapo.

A: Yes.
Q: Are you sure?
A: Because it reverses the logical flow of conversation.
Q: Why is top posting stupid and frowned upon?
