St. Paul Audubon's annual Warbler Weekend was held May 8-10 at Villa Maria in Frontenac. 135 t otal species including 19 warbler species. Other notables on included Henslow's Sparrow singing on territory at Frontenac State Park (May 10) a Western Grebe on Lake Pepin just north of Lake City (May 9), a Willet on Sand Point ( May 9) and nesting building by a Brown Creeper along the Sand Point Trail boardwalk (May 9 and 10 Migration was generally thin and slow, and many warblers were represented by single or only a few sightings.
