Last night I did my second woodcock survey and found 2 WHIP-POOR-WILLS
calling north of Palisade. From Palisade, take County Road 10 northeast
for about 3 miles to 280th Avenue. The first one is another 3/10ths mile
on C.R.10, on the river side. The second one is on 280th Avenue, 4/10ths
mile north. They were calling between 9:00 and 9:30 P.M. The NORTHERN
HAWK OWL is still present on Highway 169, 1/2 mile north of its junction
with C.R.18. Warren Nelson
