Birded the county this weekend with Andrew Birch and Dale Yerger, including a
big day on Saturday and a trip out on Leech Lake on Sunday.  Still almost no
songbird movement, although the weather was rough on Saturday.  Only migrant
warbler of the weekend was a Blackpoll at Kabekona Narrows on Sunday.  Of
interest was a Lark Sparrow at the Longville sewer ponds, and a Field Sparrow
at Dry Sand WMA.  Also at Dry Sand were two Baird's and one White-rumped
Sandpiper.  Good numbers of shorebirds were present on and around Pelican
Island on Sunday, including 51 Black-bellied Plovers, 18 Ruddy Turnstones, and
various others.  Of note was a Marbled Godwit, a bird that has been strangely
hard to find in Cass.  Good birding!
