This morning I birded Lake County from Knife River to Castle Danger
with Kim Eckert and saw a few good birds:

Ross's Goose - immature at Burlington Bay (it's probably spending
time foraging on the golf course, too)

Surf Scoter - two flybys at the Knife River Marina and one at
Burlington Bay in Two Harbors

Black Scoter - a flock of four feeding at Burlington Bay

Long-tailed Duck - one flyby at Knife River Marina

Golden Eagle - adult flying over Castle Danger sewage ponds

Gray Jay - near Scenic 61/MN 61 junction

Snow Bunting - small numbers migrating down the shore
