At 3:45 PM I returned from errands and saw the owl is now sitting in the wood duck box entry hole.
It seems to be content to sit at the hole. Of course a mob might drive the owl down for a time, off and on. As in past years, it may sit at the hole before flying out after dusk. You can see the owl sitting half out of the box from the street by parking next to, or just west of, the Blue Spruces at the southwest corner of our house. If you stay in your car the owl will ignore you.
