Birded the marsh south of MN40 and Co Rd 13 on the westside of Haydenville WMA (Lac qui Parle County) this afternoon (around 4 pm). Hardly any water exept for a channel in the center near some grassy "islands". Highlights were:
- American White Pelican (2): hardly any water, injured? - Semipalmated Sandpiper (2) - Least Sandpiper (11) - Semipalmated Sandpiper (2) - Pectoral Sandpiper (36) - Golden-crowned Kinglet (1): In juniper planting on hill south of marsh; part of mixed species flock. Forgot to mention that I also saw 1 GcKi in hedge row on eastside of Salt Lake when I birded there earlier today.
