Hi, Sue Keator's suggestion that everyone contact the author concerning the issues with the first printing of his guide and the "recall" by the publisher is a great idea. I went to David Sibley's website a few minutes ago and sent a message through his contact page. But one message is likely to be ignored. For anyone who received a less than satisfactory response from the publisher should send a note using the following link:
http://www.sibleyguides.com/contact-me/ I was told that the "issues" weren't really defects, but that they were planned by the author and publisher. Somehow, I just can't quite buy that. His guide was a welcome addition to our libraries and it's sad that the second edition turned out to be such a let-down. Best wishes, Tim Timothy J.
