Thank you. I e-mailed Roseville Parks and Recreation via their Web
site, pointing out that nesting ospreys are as much of an asset (and
source of pride) as functional baseball lights, and hoping that they
simply wouldn't use the lights until the young have flown -- assuming
they're even successful.
I will contact the osprey lady.

So what happens now? Does the DNR have a policy about large raptors and public
facilities, like prohibiting the use of the lights until offspring have
fledged? Would the City of Roseville have such a policy? Is there someone to
whom we can write to ask that the lights not be used, at least temporarily?
Is the status of the osprey in Minnesota "of concern?"

and what the one had in its mouth was probably nest-building material that
it pushed into the nest (they use their talons to carry things).
Also: it's the baseball field east of Victoria Street.
