Hi, I am not sure what you mean. I will try to explain things a little more.
In Netscape 4.7x, when I go into the address book and highlight one of the LDAP servers and start typing in a name. As soon as I start, I see the results being displayed. In Mozilla, I get a blank for any search that I do on the LDAP directories. I am able to search only on the entries in my Personal Addres book. I never did a * search on LDAP. Just tested it out on Netscape 4.7x and I get a lot of entries showing up and a error message on the bottom: Too many entries found! Please narrow your search. Anyway, bottom line is that I am unable to browse the directories in Mozilla. I looked at the properties of each directory in Netsape and Mozilla and they seem to be the same, though Mozilla has some extras, which I am not sure about. regards, enigma Roland Felnhofer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:<aj5sf3$fl8$[EMAIL PROTECTED]>... > You have to 'actively' search for a mail! meaning you have to enter a > search term in the line "Name or Email contains". > Fortunately '*' as a wildcard is OK. > Entering a * as search term will return all entries as long as the > following conditions as true: > Your LDAP server does not have a 'max result' limit (very often 100 results) > and > You don't have set a result limit in your Mozilla prefs (Preferences -> > Mail & Newsgroups -> Addressing -> Edit Directories -> 'Your > Directory'-Edit ->Advanced).
