Hi, OK - I've got you! So being a little bit pedantic - you are not able to "search" a LDAP server and not only "browsing" it (walking through all entries) does not work ;-)
First of all it works for me!!! So lets start to fix your problem! What entries do you have under: Preferences -> Mail & Newsgroups -> Addressing -> Edit Directories -> 'Your Directory'-Edit -> General: Name: ? Hostname: ? Port number: ? Bind DN: ?
