That's why a good 404 error is needed... The Mozilla web site fits into 
the category under "We just reorginized out website to make it better." 
(Yes, it really does say 'out').  In the section, it mentions that there 
is a possibility that the old URI's can be orginized so poorly that they 
have to be pulled down.

When I say a good 404, I mean where the 404 fires a CGI script that has 
a datbase of what file moved where.  It can then return something along 
the lines of:
404 File not Found
The file you are looking for is longer at this location.

Possible new location: <URL_GOES_HERE>

I can dig through my old perl scripts and see if I can come up with the 
basic framework for this.
