There seems to be a general consensus that the ActiveX component no longer works correctly with the latest versions of Mozilla. My experience has been as following:

When I just register the mozctlx.dll and try to use the component (either in VS6 or the IE example at http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/mozctltest1.htm) the calling process decides to take 100% process time and never finishes). Also the VS component icon doesn't appear correctly implying that VB can't find all the necessary files.

When I also register mozctl.dll any attempt to use the component causes the process to crash immediately.

Anyway, my question is: Up and till which build did the Active X component still work?

Also, is there any way that I can have both a compatible version available on my PC while I am still running a current version of Mozilla? (I'm currently running 1.4 but will quite possible move to 1.5)

Thanks,

Adrian
