The point of my entire post was that while the XPFE makes themes and
skins easy to implement and "a nift side effect" to put in the marketing
ads they are not making the program better. Instead they are abandoning
the central work of designing the UI to other people.

You are missing my point entirely! I'm not discussing bloat or even that
it's Not Good (tm) to have a new set of widgets in every application on
a particular platform from a user viewpoint. I'm trying to find out if
making the themes and skins the responsibility of the user was a
conscious decision or if it just happend because it's cool and easy to
do... This is really occasion when coders should not have made the
priorities! :)
I've tried to comment on your post. Please read my post and actually
