But, if I create a new profile, then I wouldn't run the risk of corruption, would I?  Except like the mozreg.dat file?

Is there anyone who knows if it is safe to have both Netscape 6, and the
Mozilla on the same machine, and both programs function? I currently
use Netscape 6 as my main browser and I use it for email and
newsgroups. But, I'd also like to see how Mozilla is coming, and if
these speed increments I am hearing about are true.

I also need to test something out in Mozilla. Thanks

Yes. What I do, is I have Netscape 6 installed to it's default
directory, then every day I download the mozilla-win32.zip and extract
it to it's own mozilla directory.

They do use the same files - so you're email settings and stuff will
appear in both programs. You have to watch out for problem builds of
mozilla though, I've heard of pref files getting corrupted on peoples
machines, and that would screw up you're nav6 settings if that happened
(It hasn't happened to me personally yet). If you stick to the
milestone builds (0.6 for example) then you shouldn't have any problems.
