Mozregistry.dat and mosver.dat need to be deleted.
All your preferences are stored in Windows/Application
Data/Mozilla This is where your Profiles are kept. If you back
up that folder (copy it to another folder) and then uninstall
Mozilla via Windows' Remove Program dialogue, you should find
that the profile data is left there. All you need do then is
install the update. And if it is removed, copy your back up
into that location after install.

A down and dirty was is to simply DELETE the Mozilla/Seamonkey
folder, and the mozreg and mozver DAT files. You can write a
batch file to do this and keep it on your desktop.
