The first post in the thread to which you refer says James he had *already*
tried deleting mozregistry.dat and it hadn't helped. The files he did delete
that helped were the profile files. Those are notorious for causing
problems. Deleting mozregistry.dat was sometimes helpful in the past when it
contained the profile data; it does no longer.

Was this file generated before or after the profile data was moved out of
that file?
