The Netscape people have hardly kept it a secret on bugzilla, there's a
lot of references to 6.5 around the place so that must be the current
thinking. I should really say 'probably' 6.5 because no public
announcement has been made (remember there was a time when Netscape 6
was going to be Netscape 2001). So Netscape may change their name. You
can be reasonably sure it'll be at least 6.5 as it's a significantly
improved product. Although you never know they may decide to jump to 7.0
because there's major noticable cosmetic differences (new skin, the
taskbar is planned to be removed by 0.9.1) as well as major feature
improvements (LDAP in Mail News, better auto complete, performance
inprovements).

I've seen a lot of 6.5 in bugzilla, a lot of Netscape employess seem to
talk in Netscape versions rather than mozilla versions.
