You're not helping the cause the least by presenting such radical
distortions of the facts.
The only problem about that code (which _is_ a serious one IMHO) is the
way it went into the source tree. Not what it does or how it works.
Of course the browser writes the URLs into a text file - the history,
but that has nothing to do with the bug you cite.
