This has always surprised me. I mean, the browser, which has to understand
a raft of complicated standards that nobody has ever fully implemented
before, should be the tricky part. Mail and News, on the other hand, are
problems that have been solved repeatedly and often over the last 20+
years.
Is Mozilla's toolkit so clumsy that it's impossible to write a reliable
mail/news client without superhuman effort? If so, then we have a serious
problem here, and if not, why's mail/news so crufty?
