Uncalled for bashing of a company is wrong. If I were to say "Final
Fantasy 8 is too hard, Square soft SUCKS!", that's uncalled for. It's a
biased opinion based on no facts. However, Outlook Express has a number
of known bugs, doesn't conform to standards and is a propriatary piece
of MS crap. I'll be honest.
OE's GUI is pretty good, I like it a little bit better than messenger's
GUI (though not better than Eudora). I also like it's ease to combine
and decode multipart messages. In N4.x I have to right click and save
each message than use a 3rd party program to put them back together.
Not fun. However, OE defaults to HTML mail. I don't like that. It
also has all that great Javascript support, VB script support, etc built
in. The first time i used OE some spam message made 4 browser windows
open, each which opened another, etc etc. Ended up end tasking the
whole thing and starting over. I dislike that. I also don't like the
previously mentioned formatting bug. Since MS has no intention of
fixing it, OE will forever be a non complient, propriatary, BROKEN
mail/news client.
I would, however, enjoy OE's GUI dropped overtop of Mozilla's frame
work. That would be sweet
