I have no idea how that question has anything to do with my request of
Mr. Lairo, but since you ask: There isn't an alternative, certainly not
on Windows. Mozilla is way too much of a pig and is *still* way too
buggy in comparison, and there are no signs that it's ever going to get
any better. Communicator is for all intents and purposes a dead browser
walking, and browsers like Opera et al don't have the features needed
for today's web.
Microsoft has simply won the "browser wars" because Netscape gave it to
them (hell even now they're talking they're not going to be a browser
company), and that's that.
