I have MS Office 2001 for Mac. Before I had Word 6.01a and excel 5.01a
(Only decent spreedsheet avaiable for mac, and except for WordPerfect
3.5.e (which is now abndoned for Mac platform by Corel) only decent
Word processing program for Mac is Word.

In any event They use(d) OLE what Microsoft calls Object Linking and
Embedding. Is this what you are refering to?

I did use the OLE feature to link a database to a word document a long
time ago and seemed to work well.

In any event when the subject comes up in the future. I suggest the
poster to wait for a repply from Garth since he seems to be more versed
in the subject.
