This has been discussed in the UI newsgroup. You may love it, but it is almost always a defect. When a new window has content loaded, the content should be focused so it can be scrolled, etc. This is the way Nav 4.x, IE and Opera work, about as close as you can get to a universal browsing experience. Only when loading a known blank window is there any reason to focus the URL bar by default. Opera does this. Peter
