doing the convert "is" the best way on the Mac "if" you want to maintain your newsgroups amnd Mailbox. Pointing to a Communicator profile could cause corruption. in addition to .snm files you'll create .msf files as well. There is no telling what will happen. To insure a clean and satifactory convert. Turn off any AnitVirus programs you have as they cause interference. On latest nightly. even that doesn't work out exactly. (My experience) I tried twice just to prove a point and to see if a fluke; I converted and my default newsgroup (my Isp) did not transfer over I had to fill in the name. news.kimbanet.com. Other than that (minor annoyance) except for my report several days ago on this forum.
