Why is that? My observation is that about 99.9% of the HTML email I receive gains absolutely nothing from this other than to waste bandwidth and disk space. Usually most of it is just sent by some moron using MS Outlook in its brain-dead default setting, and the message has absolutely squat in the way of special formatting but is still needlessly sent as a multipart MIME message with both plain text and HTML versions, where if your mail program gives you a choice you usually find out that the plain text version is more readable because the HTML one has some MS-Outlook-inserted dumbass tags that set a teensy-weensy font. The rest of the HTML messages are mostly spam. -- Dan
