Let me respond to my own email: because nobody has cared enough to implement it. If you really want it, build it yourself. Mozilla is being built by volunteers who are very busy working on other things. Thank you. If you could not tell, I don't particulary care for the feature. Especially when the e-mails contain images (and especially when it is the kind of spam this list has been getting).
