I guessed so when my post was nearly finished, but didn't want to
rewrite it just due to a guess :-)
Well Netscape is behind, but read the branch <=> trunk explanations
others posted. If you don't understand, I can try to explain in German
(I think you're German - both your name and your e-mail address suggest
it). ("trunk" is "[Baum]stamm" and "branch" is "Zweig". So you have a
thick trunk, of which every few weeks branches are built, e.g.
"Abzweigungen". From them, actual end-user products like Netscape 6.2
are made. The same time though, trunk development / evolution goes on.
So in a way, the branch-based product is always behind.)

Exactly! :-)

The interface of Mozilla is based on XUL (XML UI Language). As the name
suggests, it's an XML-based language. The presentation is mainly done
with CSS, and the functionality with JavaScript. So if you are good in
one of these, and once you've learned about how to get involved with
Mozilla (took me _ages_ ;-) and I'm still far from a real contributor),
you might be able to help more than you think you can.
