Actually, if you point a newly created profile at an extisting profile directory, it will use whatever .slt directory it finds as the salt directory, and it will do without the slt directory if files like bookmark.html and prefs.js are in the top Profile directory pointed at.(ie the 'Choose Folder' step in creating a new profile)
