The mozilla website explains that the reason it is released is so the public can beta test it or even contribute code. Yes, they *do* want it released, that's why they allowed the public to download it. There is no such thing as an *official* release. That will have to wait for 1.0. There are only *milestone* releases. Also, the mere fact that the version number is less than 1.0 should signify that it is not yet an end-user release, but a beta-tester release. There is no need to attach a "-beta" to the numbering system. Version 1.0 is coming in about 2 months. Watch out for it! :) Bamm
