Actually it makes sense and they definitely planning it. Months ago I
read several rumours that they have a cross platform client soft in
the works based on XUL and Gecko. I guess their long term plan is to
have AOL set top boxes based on Linux or another OS with their client
soft.
Their short term plan definitely is to get rid of IE!
