I was tinkering with some example and when I used overflow:hidden and overflow:-moz-hidden-unscrollable, see:
This one doesn't freeze/hang:

This one does freeze/hang:

The only difference between the two is the use of overflow hidden/-moz-hidden-unscrollable.
