Return Receipts in email are a bit problematic, some people don't like
it because "recieving" and "reading" aren't the same thing...

But how about Mail-Copies-To for news?  As a positive value, it does
something very similar to RR, but is less objectionable because you are
notified of a response, and not just that it has arrived.
