A receipt won't help you with the first two, and lack of a receipt 
won't help you with the third.

There continue to be competing standards for receipts. Mail 
administrators hate them because they waste resources. Not to mention 
the aforementioned privacy issues.

How often does email *really* not arrive? Virtually never. The rest of 
the time, you're dealing with a human factor.
